Photography Artists

After having a very fun day in photography, doing what can only be described as playing games (I have photos, its just computer said no when I wanted to bring them home) we were shown a power point of some pretty fun looking photographic artists.
Looking at them, here are a few favourites.
This is a photo by Paulo Roversi.
I am not normally particularly interested in fashion photographers, but I found his work spell binding. In looking at his photographs, I really could have put any one of them here, because they were all so beautiful. I love how the women look wild and fierce.
However I chose this one (eventually) because the woman looks strong and exotic. I guess the pose is fairly simple, but there is something magical and fairy-tale like about her badges and how she looks straight into the camera.

Next photographer is Sandy Skoglund. Here is another one I had a lot of difficulty finding just one photo show here. In the end I chose Raining Popcorn because it reminded me of A Winter Tale snowy scene kind of thing. I find it amazing that Skoglund uses no Photoshop. She creates the images using elaborate sets. The images are also funny and surreal, they carry another strand of that magical feel. This appeals to me.
1x1.trans 10 Lessons William Klein Has Taught Me About Street PhotographyFinally William Klein, a bit different from the other two, intrigued me greatly. He is a street photographer, but freely admits to asking on the street to pose for him. I love the playful feeling of the images, even though some can look a bit brutal, many show the fun side.
My particular favourite is this one as the group looks so cheerful but there is the gun in the corner which adds a sinister element to the image.
